Between 12/9 and 12/10, FoE want to visit each MP and ask them to lobby David Milliband and Tony Blair to include the Climate Change Bill in the Queen's Speech. We have four constuencies to cover, and these have been divided thus:

    • Castle Point: Kim Power
    • Rayleigh: Sue Willis-Green
    • Southend East: Peter Walker
    • Southend West: Ron Bates (tbc)
  4. Also relating to the Big Ask, we have received a letter from Mark Francois which has been uploaded to the SEEFoE Letters page.

  5. Big Ask/Light Bulb Campaign

Light bulb scheme has changed - we no longer have to get people to fill out the survey before they get their light bulbs. Now the EST only requires their name, address and phone number and will follow them up later to do their house energy survey.

    • Basildon

Stall to be set up near Costa Coffee in Basildon High Street on 8th July. Kim has arranged to store the excess light bulbs in his son's nearby shop.

    • Thurrock

After Basildon, we were going to target Thurrock, but we no longer need to as Andrew MacKinlay MP has now signed EDM 178.

    • Billericay

John Baron MP hasn't signed yet - we will do the usual Big Ask/EST Light Bulb stall there on 5th August.
