Can all members please give their £10 membership to Peter. Although members may have already given a cheque earlier in the year, it will now be out of date due to the length of time taken to open the bank account.

  3. Review of year’s activities:

The climate change bill was included in the Queen's annual speech and all the MP's from Thurrock to Southend signed the early day’s motion 178, with the exception of Angela Smith who cannot due to her position within Parliament.

We have been offered a 380 word column in Angela Smith's latest environmental newsletter. Kim & Jon to write. We have until the 19th of December to take up the offer.

  4. London array:

A campaign for the London array is under way. Please support this campaign by going to the website and printing off a letter which is provided. Swale Council is objecting to this so we really need as much support as possible. It is going to be built in the north sea and it will be the biggest off shore windfarm in Britain.

  5. Outline of next years events:

Continuing with the Big Ask as and when required to ensure the content of the Climate Change Bill is acceptable.

In addition we will focus on local issues such as recycling, waste minimization looking to raise local awareness. Anybody with any ideas to proceed with this campaign, please bring them to the nest meeting.

  6. Date of next meeting:
