  2. Minutes of last meeting:
    Proposed JF, seconded MD
  3. Ratification of Constitution + Partnership Agreement:
    DW explained that when the bank account was set up a constitution was required, what was written was based on the template provided by central FoE. Points of note; membership is payable on the first of January each year. DW to write to everyone asking for money. Need to re-register with FoE and sign partnership agreement.
  4. FoE Conference 2007:
    Need to know by 17th August if anyone wants to go. Motions and amendments needed by 29th June. Group will pay for any member who wants to go. No volunteers as yet.
  5. Climate Change Bill Consultation:
    Ends June 12th - Please respond! DW to put climate change update on website. JF suggests we respond using the FoE shortened version of the consultation document. Apparently the nuclear consultation for the energy white paper has begun again JF to e-mail group about this.
  6. Cooperative Society "An Inconvenient Truth" - 27th June:
    At Odeon Southend 7.30pm 27th June. FoE talk about us, what we’ve done and what we’re doing. Free showing to members of the co-op and FoE. DW to get hold of leaflets and light bulbs. Any other takers to RSVP ASAP. So far DW, JF, MD definite, SF and MW possible.
  7. SE Essex WEN:
    Eileen Peck wrote to us sending her best wishes for the new group and inviting us to a garden party, ring Eileen on 01268 752264.
  8. Strategic Plan:
    Completed feedback form at meeting. Points added were about being more forceful and demanding in the climate change and nuclear campaigns.

  10. Next meeting:
    Next meeting to be AGM. 10th July, so we can give all members 28 days notice of the meeting. Will be held at MDs at 7.30pm.
  11. AOB:
    Kim got in a magazine called “step ahead” which provided some good promotional material about us. JF to send e-mail about article in the enquirer last week- Angela Smith talking about nuclear- must tell her we want alternatives. SF brought to everyone’s attention that today was world environment day and the theme was climate change.
